Dispersal order in place in the Shelfield area |
||
|
Afternoon, We've put a dispersal order in place in the Shelfield area of Walsall due to potential planned anti-social behaviour. The section 35 dispersal order came into effect at 1.15pm today (Wed) and will be in place for 12 hours. It covers the Rushall and Shelfield ward area shown on the map. Over the next 12 hours we've put in extra policing powers which will allow us to disperse anyone engaging in anti-social behaviour and causing a public nuisance. We have also increased the number of officers in the area. Inspector Nazia Kauser, neighbourhood policing manager at Aldridge and Brownhills, said: “We won’t tolerate anti-social behaviour and this dispersal order gives us the powers to move people on who are causing a public nuisance. “You will see extra officers in the area today to bring reassurance to the community.” You can report anti-social behaviour by ringing 101. Alternatively, call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 55111.
